In this week after Easter, I thought it would be helpful to share some more information about the wheat-based sacrament of the Eucharist, or Communion, from a gluten-free point of view.

Thanksgiving is almost here! Downshift from panic mode and follow this cheat sheet of tips and recipes to a safe, tasty and very happy gluten-free holiday!
Short version: This is an out-of-this-world delicious, healthy and truly easy recipe for your next dinner!
Long version: Use what veggies you like and have on hand, and any protein you prefer: chicken, shrimp, tofu … you get the idea. My recipe calls for seafood, but feel free to substitute. Choose any color Quinoa, Sprouted Quinoa, or Kañiwa. Follow my basic directions and you’ll have a scrumptious, nutritious meal for your family in about 30 minutes!
Coleslaw and summer just go together! This vegan, gluten-free alternative is as good as any restaurant offering, and much healthier! Add it to your picnic table, or use in fun recipes like Shrimp Burgers or Fish Tacos! YUM!
A North Carolina favorite, the Shrimp Burger (fried shrimp, tartar sauce, ketchup and coleslaw on a yummy bun) is not unlike the Po’ Boy you may have enjoyed in your neck of the woods. It’s back on the menu now, whether you are gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free … or anything in between! Enjoy your taste of summer on a bun!
Think fresh. Think cold. Think Refreshing! Think flavor! The perfect addition to any hot day’s picnic!
When I saw basket after basket of these fresh beauties at the farmer’s market today, I just couldn’t resist. I knew it was finally time for one of my southern summer favorites: Fried Zucchini!
Don’t skip this important step, made possible with any of the Jules Gluten Free™ breads you may have already made (or have been putting off trying). Now’s the time! Warning: depending on how many helpers you have in the kitchen, they may end up slicing off and eating piece after piece of your bread…and not leave you enough for the croutons! Better make two loaves.
