No food is more universally loved on St. Patty’s Day than Irish Soda Bread. My recipe takes the best of cake-style fruited soda bread called Treacle, and makes it gluten, dairy, soy, nut, egg and of course, yeast-free!
Using alternatives like fresh pineapple, coconut and yogurt, this recipe is as moist as you remember traditional carrot cakes, but not oily at all. With yummy fruit, honey and yogurt, it also doesn’t have as much sugar as you might expect. Nothing but delicious flavor comes through in this yummy recipe!

These treats are famously Baltimore, and elicit oohs and ahs when mentioned in the company of anyone who has ever had one. With Baltimore in Super Bowl XLVII, I thought I would take this opportunity to invent a gluten-free, dairy-free Berger Cookie, and even make it purple to cheer on the home team!
