This frosting works wonderfully for cookies or as a glaze for cakes. It is fast, easy, cheap and has always been gluten-free. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sifted confectioner’s sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. gluten-free vanilla extract
(may use peppermint, orange, almond or other extract in the alternative)
  • Milk (dairy or non-dairy), fruit juice or liqueur
  • pinch of salt

Whisk together the sugar, extract and milk by gradually adding the milk, a teaspoon or so at a time.  Continue adding liquid until the frosting is the consistency you need for your dessert.  The thinner the frosting, the better if you are drizzling it over a cake or cookie; the thicker it is, the better if you want to have a firmer coating.
